Aboutfounded New Resolution LLC in 2005 and more recently extended the New Resolution brand to other mediators via the New Resolution Mediation Launch Platform™. Before establishing a mediation practice, he completed a graduate degree in International Relations with focus on alternative dispute resolution (mediation, arbitration, conciliation, and negotiation) — including a dissertation on that subject — from Lancaster University. In addition, he holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of London’s Imperial College of Science, Technology & Medicine. Paul has advanced training in parent-teen mediation, custody mediation, and victim-offender mediation and has mediated more than 400 divorce, family, and small business disputes. He remains active in giving back to the mediation community through both paid and pro bono service as a mediation coach for Foothill De Anza College’s mediator certificate program, as a meetings facilitator for the City of San Francisco and the City of San Mateo, and as a former director of the Association for Dispute Resolution of Northern California. He is also an approved mediator for civil disputes by the Superior Court of San Francisco. |
